A glamorous Spanish-style hotel in San Diego

I recently returned from a trip to the US and was greatly inspired by the fabulous places that I visited.  Our first stop was the La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla, San Diego which opened in 1926.  This Spanish-style hotel has fantastic architecture, including beautiful archways, spacious courtyards, patterned tile floors and surfaces.  The hotel exceeded all my expectations: whether it was relaxing by the pool with spectacular views overlooking the Pacific Ocean or simply listening to music waft across the outdoor terrace.  I just love southern California with its extensive beaches and laid back lifestyle.
